The Post Sentence Authority's first annual report is available below.

The annual report provides an overview of the Authority’s establishment and its role in the post sentence scheme. It also details the key activities and achievements since the Authority’s commencement on 27 February 2018, including:

  • The safe and secure transfer of 47,000 serious offender records from the Adult Parole Board
  • The Authority’s commitment to operating compatibly with Victoria’s Charter of Human Rights and considering the views of victims
  • The Authority’s dedicated focus on reviewing the coordinated delivery of treatment and rehabilitation services to offenders by key government agencies; with the Authority reviewing and authorising 64 of these plans by 30 June 2018.

The report also includes details on a series of performance measures. In the short amount of time that the Authority has been in operation, it has considered 471 matters in relation to 133 offenders and issued 162 directions. The report also details the activities of the courts and key government agencies in relation to the post sentence scheme.

The scope of Victoria’s post sentence scheme expanded to include serious violent offenders on 3 September 2018.
